CompuMedical was founded in 1998 to provide site management and technical services for ImplantInfo – the Breast Augmentation & Breast Implants Information Web – by Nicole. We provide technical, administrative and business support services for ImplantInfo, its users and its cosmetic plastic surgeon sponsors.
In early 1999, CompuMedical was asked to assist in the set-up and launch of LipoSite, the Interactive Liposuction Information Resource Web. In the fourth quarter of that same year, we helped to design and create FaceForum.com, which focuses on facial plastic surgery procedures.
As we moved toward 2000, we realized that we could better serve our users and our sponsors if we consolidated the “back office” functions for all three sites. By creating a single organization to perform the technical and business functions for FaceForum, ImplantInfo and LipoSite, the sites’ managers would be free to concentrate on their core mission: Providing high quality information and support resources to serve their visitors.
To this end, we adopted a structure that allows us to leverage our strengths, with each part of the business focused on what it does best. Business and technical services are now centrally managed, while Nicole (ImplantInfo), Hope (LipoSite) and Terri (FaceForum) continue to focus on content, support and improving the experience of their respective visitors.
